Our fossil hunting trip with Andrew to Saltwick Bay was the highlight of our latest visit to the Yorkshire coast. As newcomers to this hobby, previous visits have been disappointing. The guided tour with Andrew however, has filled us with enthusiasm and the confidence to continue with our fossil hunting endeavours.
Andrew is a very experienced professional palaeontologist, researcher and academic. Skills which he combines with a friendly, practical and supportive approach to every aspect of the guided tour.
We left the tour with a (heavy) bag full of various fossils and slightly aching legs but also big smiles on our faces, with plans for another trip. We recommend that you give it a try - and pick up some 180 million year old fossils to take home as souvenirs of a memorable day.
